Commercial Photography – Far East Hospitality group of hotels
Welcome to my article on “Commercial Photography – Far East Hospitality Group of Hotels” I had the opportunity to shoot some promo pictures for the Far East Hospitality group of hotels. For your information, Far East Hospitality Holdings Pte Ltd is a regional hospitality owner and operator with a wide portfolio of eight unique and complementary brands of hotels, serviced residences, and apartment hotels including Adina Apartment Hotels, Medina Serviced Apartments, Oasia Hotels, The Quincy Hotel, Rendezvous Hotels, Travelodge Hotels, Vibe Hotels and Village Hotels & Residences. The company owns more than 10 hotels and operates a combined portfolio of more than 13,000 rooms under its management across almost 90 hotels and serviced residences in seven countries – Australia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Singapore, with more in its development pipeline (excerpts from company website).
Equipment used included Canon 70D with lenses like the EFS10-18mm STM lens and EF70-200mm F4L IS. No studio lighting was used for this project as I essentially worked with available ambience lighting. The assignment was fast-paced leaving little time for much set arrangement. Pictures are shot in RAW format and post-processed using Canon Digital Professional Program version 3, slightly edited and resized using Snapseed. Each day shoot edits were completed and transferred to the clients by the end of the work day. Some of the pictures shot during the project can be seen on their lifestyle website. If you enjoy browsing hotels’ websites, do remember there was a photographer behind all that pictures and it’s tough work.
